One of the most important tasks to do once you get your photo gallery is to download all of the photos.
Not only do you want to download them all, but you want to safely store the gallery so you can look back at it for years to come!
I save my galleries with clients for 1 year, per our contract, and I save wedding galleries, indefinitely.
I am a major stickler for storing photos in multiple places so that you know you won’t lose them (technology is crazy!)
First of all, you want to download your entire photo gallery. Click below to see a quick helpful video showing you how to do that:
I highly recommend downloading the gallery to store on your computer and also store them on your phone.
Secondly, you can store your photos in a cloud – based system such a icloud backup, dropbox.com, or Google Photos. These store your photos in the “cloud” so if your computer or phone was ever damaged, you would still have the photos, safe.
Lastly, if you like to be extra careful like me, I love to have an external drive that holds my photos (i.e wedding photos, yearly photoshoots, important iphone photos of pets I want to save, etc.) I love using a thumbdrive AKA a flash drive and/or an external hard drive. I love the brand Seagate for external portable hard drives. Here are a couple I recommend:
I know this is the least glamorous part about having a photo session, but seriously one of the most important!
