When it comes to photography on Hilton Head Island, I shoot in a few different low country settings.
Primarily my photo sessions take place on Hilton Head Island Beaches.
#1. The beach on Hilton Head Island
One thing about Hilton Head Island is that we have miles of gorgeous, sandy beaches. I LOVE traveling to my clients’ accommodations to utilize your beach access. As a Hilton Head local for the past 8 years, I know the island’s beaches very well and based on your address, I will be able to tell you right away if that beach will be beautiful for photographs. More often than not, my client’s rental home or resort is the perfect beach location! Some beaches I love photographing at are Sea Pines and Palmetto Dunes. With beach photos, I only shoot at sunrise or sunset to achieve the most beautiful lighting.
#2. The oaks
There are two oak tree locations that I love photographing couples and families at. They are Six Oaks in Sea Pines and Honeyhorn at the Coastal Discovery Museum. These two oak tree locations offer ample shade from the sun and stunning, draping spanish moss. They give your images a beautiful, soft green background and these old oak trees are just mesmerizing! These two locations come with certain fees, sharing the space with other photographers, but they do allow us to shoot at many different times during the day. We are not restricted to sunrise or sunset.
I am only a Hilton Head Island photographer at this time, but who knows! Maybe one day, I will travel more for beach photos.
